Students from Grade 12-Fortitude emerged as victors after nabbing the top spot in the Jingle-making Contest during the celebration of the Nutrition Month with the theme: “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…push natin ‘to” (Eat healthy and do physical activity…let’s push this!), last July 31, 2019 at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR).

As the theme encourages everyone to advocate and realize the importance of healthy diets and increased physical activity, Grade 12-Fortitude delivered their message through their jingle-composition accompanied by music using guitar and other musical instruments. With this, they bested other senior high school participants on the said event.

Meanwhile, Grade 11-Wisdom and Grade 11-Hope secured 2nd and 3rd places, respectively. All participants were rated against the following criteria: Creativity (50%), Choreography and Costume (40%), and Creativity (10%).

“I can say that the triumph was not the medal that we got when we won, but the enjoyment and happiness that we felt until the end of the competition” Jessica Lopez remarked, a member of Grade 12-Fortitude performers. “Because of our cooperation, we were able to build good relationship among each other”, she added.

The said competition was steered by the Technical Livelihood Education (TLE) department in the observance of Presidential Decree 491 or Nutrition Act of the Philippines signed on June 25, 1974 declaring July as the Nutrition Month. #
